Halloween & Hallo’s Eve

Kai's Monster

We all do our own things to show our support for the fun created from the day of Halloween.  A lot of us remember trick or treating as children. Walking house-to-house

with out parents and older siblings, as they taught us the ritual of knocking and saying “trick or treat” and holding    our bags out.   As we got older it was more about getting house to house as quick as possible to increase the   collection of candy, but maybe that was just me.

I was in the car today listening to one of Portland’s radio stations called 101 KUFO, and the DJ was talking to a 7th grader and told the kid, how his friend would go to all the houses, and then go home and change his outfit to go and trick-or-treat them again. I thought it was pretty funny.  I never thought that hard about how to get candy, though.

Anyways, we have decorated the front of our place.  We live in a 3-story town home so we are limited in space, but we still did what we could. We decorated outsi

de and inside.  And tomorrow we will get the kids all dressed up.  Kaila insisted on being a Butterfly and Brooklin is going to be a little monkey.  I will post some pictures tomorrow, or at least Kristin will.

I wanted to share a picture of a monster that Kaila made this last Thursday.  This was on one of my SAHM  (stay-at-home-mom) days.  I consider it a SAHM instead of a SAHD (stay-at-home-dad) day, because I am with the kids while Kristin is in class for most of the day.  I consider it SAHM instead of SAHD because it is less than 20 hours a week.

Kristin is also running a giveaway for a blockbuster gift card which is on her blog.  I cannot win it, but I can participate.

So Happy Halloween to all, and everyone make sure to be safe.
